Materials World Modules (MWM)

An NSF-funded inquiry-based science and technology educational program based at Northwestern University. A series of interdisciplinary modules are based on topics in materials science and are designed for use in middle and high school science, technology, and math classes. MWM is based on principles of inquiry and design and emphasizes active, hands-on learning, and provides students of all ability levels with opportunities to apply what they learn in the classroom to real-world problems while helping teachers to meet National Science Education Standards. National Center for Learning and Teaching
in Nanoscale Science and Engineering (NCLT)

An NSF funded national center for learning and teaching in nanoscale science and engineering education (NSEE) headquartered at Northwestern University. The mission of NCLT is to develop the next generation of leaders in NSE teaching and learning, with an emphasis on NSEE capacity building, providing a strong impact on national STEM education. Our NCLT integrated program will focus on content development of NSE for grades 7-16, professional development, NSEE learning tools and research, and a NSEE degree program.
